Clockworks Analytics, a Boston startup, raised $16.1m in funding. They built a smart building intelligence platform for use by facility and energy managers. More here.
Andorix, a Toronto startup, raised $40m. They design, build and manage in building digital infrastructure to support smart building developments. More here.

Schüttflix, a German startup, raised €45M in funding. They are building a digital hub for construction material supply and disposal. More here.
Wootz.work, an Indian startup, raised $3.5m in seed funding. They have developed a sourcing platform for custom engineering equipment and solutions. More here.

TrueBuilt, a Californian startup, raised $4m in seed funding. They are building an AI-based tool for pre-construction estimates. More here.

SmartCon Solutions, a Connecticut based smart building solutions provider, acquired Sentient Buildings, a New York based company creating intelligent building management systems. More here.
News
Florida’s immigration related legislation SB 1718 took effect on July 1 2023.
It requires private employers with 25 or more employees to use E-Verify, the federal employee verification system ensuring workers have appropriate documentation.
Contractors should familiarize themselves with the process to avoid liability or fines.
