Announcing the ConTech India Virtual Summit | February 2026
By 2030, India will be the third largest construction market in the world, growing almost twice as fast as China.
This shift is driven by long term national policies such as Viksit Bharat 2047, their vision to become a developed nation. At its core is the National Infrastructure Pipeline, a program worth over $1.4 trillion, with more than 1,260 projects currently underway and over 15,300 planned nationally across transport, energy, housing, and urban infrastructure.
Together, these forces are reshaping the construction sector and accelerating interest in construction technology.
In 2024, Indian ConTech startups raised approximately $98 million across just 7 funding rounds. One year later, that figure more than tripled, with 25 startups raising a combined ~$358 million
The true number is likely higher.
Several startups like Attentive.ai (raised $42.5m in 2025) or Track3D (raised $10m in 2025) are listed as US based. It occurs as regulations can make it hard for Indian startups to take foreign capital, causing them to ‘flip’ or reincorporate in the US.
At the same time, India’s construction workforce is scaling at an unprecedented rate. More than 75 million people are projected to work in the sector by 2030. Global EPC firms like Worley and Stantec are responding by establishing Global Integrated Delivery and Capability Centers in India to access talent, build technical depth and support projects worldwide.
To better understand what this means in practice, we are hosting the first ConTech India Virtual Summit in partnership with C-TrIBE and Constructing Tomorrow.
